Tenors ŞTEFAN von KORCH and ALIN STOICA announce the VIVO PER LEI concert on October 16 at Dalles Hall
After the success of the Nessun Dorma recital, which brought them together on stage for the first time, tenors ŞTEFAN von KORCH and ALIN STOICA, along with pianist ALEXANDRU BURCĂ, reveal that they are working on a new musical project featuring iconic pieces from the pop-opera repertoire, along with canzones and arias that are considered gems of the classical repertoire. The VIVO PER LEI concert will take place on October 16 at Dalles Hall and will be part of the Musical Extravaganza micro-season.

Tenor Ştefan von Korch, initiator of the Musical Extravaganza concert series, says: "We are preparing a show in which, by performing significant pages from the history of music, we will showcase the various ways love has been expressed from ancient times to the present. It will be more than a concert; it will be a musical story that will lead the audience down the beautiful paths of love, from the early days of lyrical art to modern times."
While tenor Ştefan von Korch is known for his extraordinary high notes and is acclaimed for appearances in purely lyrical roles, tenor Alin Stoica is described as "a tenor with a colossal voice not heard on Romanian stages for some time," and is praised for his dramatic strength, making the musical encounter of these two soloists truly memorable.

With a career on the rise, both nationally and internationally, Ştefan von Korch engaged in a new collaboration with the Reino de Aragon orchestra from Spain this summer, performing on July 5 alongside soprano Irina Baianţ at Maria Radna Open Air, and will debut in Carmina Burana at the renowned Palermo Classica concert series at the end of July.
Since the beginning of the year, he has performed nationally at the Iasi Opera, in the sparkling role of Camille de Jolidon, in The Merry Widow 2.0 directed by Andrei Şerban, at the Romanian Opera in Timişoara in the production of The Merry Widow signed by Mario Di Carlo, and on the stage of Târgu-Mureş Philharmonic, in the vocal-symphonic work Stabat Mater, one of the jewels of G. Rossini's repertoire considered a demonstration of virtuosity for any tenor.
Throughout 2023, the tenor has touched the hearts of audiences with masterful renditions of the specific score for his voice in Carmina Burana, for which he is considered a benchmark, and was the only Romanian soloist on a 27-city tour in China. Other highlights of his career include leading roles in operas and operettas presented on Romania's largest stages: "The Barber of Seville", "The Elixir of Love", and "Falstaff" (National Opera Bucharest), "Rigoletto," "The Merry Widow," and "The Merry Widow 2.0" (National Opera from Iasi), "I Puritani" (national premiere), "Rigoletto," and "The Barber of Seville" (Romanian Opera Cluj-Napoca) and others.
In 2022, he completed his repertoire with the title role in the European premiere of "Traiano in Dacia," by Giuseppe Nicolini, staged at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, and his record also includes roles in 3 absolute national premieres: the opera "I Puritani" at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca (2016) where he sang the highest score ever written for a male voice, the opera "La Sonnambula," by Vincenzo Bellini (2018) and his presence on the stage of Radio Hall in Bucharest in the absolute national premiere of Rossini's vocal-symphonic work "Messa di Gloria" (2019).
Alin Stoica is the only Romanian tenor who, at the end of last year, performed at the Vatican Christmas concert and was invited by the Pope for a private audience. He is also the only holder in Romania of the Luciano Pavarotti Award. On the stage of the National Opera in Bucharest, he excels in "La Traviata," "Carmen," or "La Boheme."
The "Luciano Pavarotti" award won in 2017 was handed to him by the great tenor's wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, along with the second prize and the public prize "Vota la voce," both obtained at the Sarzana festival in Italy. Due to this success, tenor Alin Stoica received an invitation to sing at the Tribute Concert on the tenth anniversary of Luciano Pavarotti's passing at the Arena di Verona, alongside renowned names in music such as Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Il Volo, Eros Ramazzotti, soprano Angela Gheorghiu, and others.
Over time, the artist perfected his vocal training with tenor Ionel Voineag and tenor Marius Budoiu, participated in Masterclasses with Rockwell Blake and Liora Maurer (Metropolitan Opera, New York), Mariana Nicolesco, and other specialists.
