In the heart of autumn, tenor Ștefan von Korch and the State Jewish Theater Orchestra invite the public from Naples to Little Paris, in a lively concert, on October 23 at the State Jewish Theater.
Tenor Ștefan von Korch details: "The audience will enjoy a sparkling repertoire of songs, arias, and interwar pieces, and the Orchestra will enhance the multicultural nature of the event with enchanting Klezmer sequences. I invite you to delight in classic titles that have spanned decades and famous songs that need no introduction, as well as the vibrant chords of Jewish popular music,"
Famous musical sequences full of vivacity, passion, and color will transport the audience to sunny Sicily, evoking the authentic Italian atmosphere but also the charm of interwar Bucharest, for an evening that will bring delight and joy to the soul.
With exponential evolution, both nationally and internationally, Ștefan von Korch will close the year at Sala Palatului as a guest in the 20th Anniversary Christmas Concert of Vienna. During the summer, he debuted in Carmina Burana on the stage of the prestigious Palermo Classica Festival, performed with the Orchestra Reino de Aragon in Spain, was invited to a recital at Lipova Symphonic City Maria Radna open-air, and since the beginning of the year, has hosted the series of concerts Musical Extravaganza, hosted monthly in the capital.
Throughout 2024, he also performed on the stage of the Târgu-Mureș Philharmonic the vocal-symphonic work Stabat Mater by G. Rossini, considered a demonstration of virtuosity for any tenor, and the work Lobgesang by F. Mendelssohn, performed in Carmina Burana at Craiova Summer Fest, but also at the Opera in Iași in the sparkling role of Camille de Jolidon, in The Merry Widow 2.0 directed by Andrei Șerban and at the Romanian Opera in Timișoara in the production of The Merry Widow by Mario Di Carlo.
In 2023, the tenor made the hearts of spectators vibrate with his masterful interpretations of the repertoire specific to his voice in Carmina Burana, for which he is considered a benchmark and was the only Romanian soloist on a tour of 27 cities in China. Other highlights of his career include notable roles in operas and operettas presented on the biggest stages in Romania: "The Barber of Seville", "The Elixir of Love" and "Falstaff" (National Opera Bucharest), "Rigoletto," "The Merry Widow" and "The Merry Widow 2.0" (National Opera Iași), "I Puritani" (national premiere) "Rigoletto" and "The Barber of Seville" (Romanian Opera Cluj-Napoca) and others.
In 2022, he completed his repertoire with the title role in the European premiere of the show "Traiano in Dacia," by Giuseppe Nicolini, staged at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, and his achievements include roles in 3 absolute national premieres: the opera "I Puritani" at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca (2016), where he performed the highest score written for a male voice, the opera "La Sonnambula," by Vincenzo Bellini (2018) and the presence on the stage of Sala Radio in Bucharest in the absolute national premiere of the vocal-symphonic work "Messa di Gloria" by Rossini (2019).
