   A musical declaration of love for imperial Vienna, Wiener Blut is a very special operetta: an ingenious collage of waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss Jr., brought together in an inevitably romantic story about love intrigues and identity confusions, against the festive backdrop of the Congress of Vienna.

   Premiered in 1899, shortly after the composer's death, Viennese Blood represents the symbolic end of the golden age of the Viennese waltz. Although the premiere was a failure, the show was rediscovered a few years later and became a classic title in the Viennese repertoire, adored for the beauty of its music and the nostalgic charm of the world it evokes.

   The colorful characters, the situational comedy, and the celebrated waltz that gives the show its title transform Viennese Blood into an unforgettable evening – ideal for both operetta lovers and those discovering the charm of this genre for the first time.
