Our beloved comedian was born in the city of Arad, grew up in Bacău, and settled in Bucharest soon after starting university.

He graduated from the Faculty of Installations in Bucharest and fondly recalls the beautiful years of his student life, years that marked the beginning of his comedian career. He doesn’t regret for a second choosing the path of a humorist and remains deeply grateful to all who have provided him with inspiration and support throughout this life journey, both from the country and abroad.

After countless humorous shows written and performed over more than 35 years of practicing this profession, he remains a figure of a free spirit as an artist and one of the most original and important figures in Romanian comedy. DOD remains the charismatic and elegant Romanian artist who laid the foundations of Romanian stand-up both before and after the 1990s. Always his talent and professional performances have been the measure of novelty and promotion of a complex humor of great subtlety and depth. Through the comedy of this great popular artist, one learns the art of intelligent, pure humor and the charm of naturalness.
