"The Lesson" is an adaptation of the play with the same name by Eugène Ionesco and presents the fate of students who, once they reach their teacher's class, become victims, gradually turning into his puppets. This performance talks about alienation, depersonalization, the communication barrier between teacher-student, but also, in general, between people, about the absurdity of the everyday life and language, the form without substance. It attacks intellectual presumptuousness, the monotony of mechanized life lacking spirituality, which can lead a person to dehumanization and brutality.
