Vienna Classic Orchestra presents for the first time in Romania the show “Vienna Classic Christmas”. The consummate artistry of the Orchestra's artists, whose name is internationally synonymous with authentic Viennese music interpretation, as well as the keen interest shown by the public, will certainly ensure that all performances in Romania will be sold out.
Vienna Classic Orchestra can be said to hold supremacy among Viennese ensembles of the same kind. The Orchestra has over time included some of the most notable musicians. Recognized internationally for their virtuosity and mastery, and winning the admiration of both the public and critics alike, the artists are considered ambassadors of Vienna, the world capital of classical music.
The show presented by the Vienna Classic Orchestra is a magnificent Christmas concert that prepares the audience for the winter holidays in an authentically Viennese style under the baton of maestro Lorantz Bozsodi. Optimism, dedication, sensitivity, and humor are the characteristics of his incomparable style of making music, based on freshness, genuine enthusiasm, and extensive experience. Lorantz Bozsodi continues the tradition of Johann Strauss by conducting with the violin in hand. The Orchestra's program revolves around the famous waltzes and polkas of the Strauss dynasty.
The brilliance of the Viennese Orchestra will be complemented this year by a remarkable interpretative presence: tenor Robert Nagy. Known to national and international music lovers as an exceptional soloist, tenor Robert Nagy has brought to life the great opera heroes. He has sung on international stages in great operas, including: Lucia di Lammermoor (Deutsche Oper am Rhein Dussseldorf – 2001 and Toulon – 2004), Faust (Opera du Rhin Strasbourg, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich – 2001, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma – 2003, Frankfurt Opera – 2007), The Barber of Seville (Wienerstaatsoper – 2003), Carmina Burana (with Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse – 2002), Rigoletto (Opera Ireland in Dublin – 2004, Opera de Lausanne – 2005, Opera de Massy – 2007), Verdi's Requiem (Teatro Massimo di Palermo – 2010), etc. He has toured with opera and concerts in: Japan, England, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Croatia, Ireland, Spain.
