The third children's musical in the series "Musical Box," entitled "Milk-eater and the Golden Egg," will premiere on Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24, at 11:00 AM, at the Small Hall of the National Palace of Children in Bucharest.
Produced by the Musical Theatre Ambassadors, based on a concept by Liliana Ștefan, psychologist and author, "Milk-eater and the Golden Egg," is dedicated to the entire family, being a show about courage and self-confidence. Throughout the story, it presents how labeling can negatively impact a child's self-esteem and how we can help them develop a strong character.
With joy and enthusiasm, the show guides the little ones through the story where they meet beloved characters from previous shows, as well as a new character, Milk-eater.
“Milk-eater represents a shy, introverted child who needs more time to complete tasks. For this reason, he is labeled as <> by both family and friends. He struggles and grows with this label, believing that only something miraculous can make him braver, stronger, and respected by those around him. He considers his salvation to be a magical ‘Golden Egg’ that would immediately grant him all the qualities he dreams of. In our story, he discovers that these qualities do not come from having a golden egg, but are already latent within him, waiting to be discovered and nurtured." - Liliana Ștefan, the script and musical texts author.
Through music, dances, and dialogues between characters, children learn how to overcome certain fears about public expression, as well as the importance of family and loved ones' support in this process.
