Sequences from famous masses and oratorios, as well as other pieces that have remained in history for the way they evoke the Holy Virgin Mary, will find their way into the hearts of the audience in a special concert scheduled for August 7 at Sala Dalles, starting at 19:00. Those who will bestow these musical jewels of high spiritual and sentimental significance will be tenor Ștefan von Korch and pianist Alexandru Burcă.

With a burgeoning national and international career, Ștefan von Korch performed in March 2024 at the Târgu-Mureș Philharmonic, the vocal symphonic work Stabat Mater, one of the jewels of G. Rossini's repertoire considered a demonstration of virtuosity for any tenor. Since the beginning of the year, also on the national stage, he performed at the Iași Opera in the sparkling role of Camille de Jolidon in The Merry Widow 2.0 directed by Andrei Șerban, and at the Romanian Opera in Timișoara in Mario Di Carlo's rendition of The Merry Widow.
In the course of 2023, the tenor moved audiences with masterful interpretations of the part specific to his voice in Carmina Burana, for which he is considered a benchmark and was the only Romanian soloist in a 27-city tour of China. Other highlights of his career include notable roles in operas and operettas presented on Romania’s biggest stages: “The Barber of Seville”, “The Elixir of Love” and “Falstaff” (Bucharest National Opera), “Rigoletto,” “The Merry Widow” and “The Merry Widow 2.0” (Iași National Opera), “I Puritani” (national premiere) “Rigoletto” and “The Barber of Seville” (Cluj-Napoca Romanian Opera), and others.
In 2022, he added to his repertoire the titular role in the European premiere of the opera “Traiano in Dacia,” by Giuseppe Nicolini, staged at the Cluj-Napoca Romanian Opera. His portfolio also includes roles in 3 absolute national premieres: the opera “I Puritani” at the Cluj-Napoca Romanian Opera (2016) where he performed the highest part written for a male voice, the opera “La Sonnambula” by Vincenzo Bellini (2018), and a presence on the Radio Hall stage in Bucharest for the absolute national premiere of the vocal-symphonic work “Messa di Gloria” by Rossini (2019).

Alexandru Burcă brings brilliance to piano parts in numerous performances at the National Operetta and Musical Theatre Ion Dacian in Bucharest. He is a stage partner of actress Oana Pellea in the show “Callas” presented at the Bucharest National Opera, has delighted the public with magical touches of piano keys in the musical Mamma Mia, which enjoyed national success, and composed the music for the production “Ileana the Brave.”
He has given concerts and recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum, the George Enescu International Festival, Romanian Television, Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, the Bucharest City Museum – Şuţu Palace, ‘George Cavadia’ Philharmonic Bacău, National Museum of Art, Kazakhstan, Russia, Moldova, France, Germany, Portugal, Norway, Italy, Canada.
