After the resounding success in the spring, the already beloved formula including tenor Ștefan von Korch, baritone Adrian Mărcan, and pianist Alexandru Burcă returns to the stage of Sala Dalles for a concert of canzonets and zarzuelas, titled O SOLE MIO, on September 18 at 19:00.

The well-known canzonet “O Sole Mio,” the charming “Santa Lucia,” the unmistakable duet from “The Barber of Seville,” or the touching “No puede ser” are just a few of the reference titles with which tenor Ștefan von Korch and baritone Adrian Mărcan, accompanied by Alexandru Burcă, will delight the audience in an evening where Italian romanticism and the passion of Spanish popular rhythms will be the hallmarks of a sonic journey through beloved arias, canzonets, and zarzuelas.

About *ŞTEFAN von KORCH (Tenor)* (www.stefanvonkorch.com )

With a rising career, both nationally and internationally, Ştefan von Korch performed in March 2024, on the stage of the Philharmonic in Târgu-Mureş, the vocal-symphonic work Stabat Mater, one of the gems of G. Rossini's repertoire considered a demonstration of virtuosity for any tenor. Since the beginning of the year, also nationally, he has performed at the Opera in Iaşi, in the sparkling role of Camille de Jolidon, from The Merry Widow 2.0 directed by Andrei Șerban, and at the Romanian Opera in Timişoara in the production of The Merry Widow signed by Mario Di Carlo.
Throughout 2023, the tenor has moved the hearts of spectators with masterful interpretations of the specific repertoire for his voice in Carmina Burana, for which he is considered a benchmark, and was the only Romanian soloist on a 27-city tour in China. Other highlights of his career include major roles in operas and operettas presented on the largest stages in Romania: “The Barber of Seville,” “The Elixir of Love,” and “Falstaff” (National Opera Bucharest), “Rigoletto,” “The Merry Widow” and “The Merry Widow 2.0” (National Opera of Iaşi), “I Puritani” (national premiere) “Rigoletto” and “The Barber of Seville” (Romanian Opera Cluj-Napoca) and others.
 
In 2022, he added to his repertoire with the titular role in the European premiere of the show “Traiano in Dacia,” by Giuseppe Nicolini, staged at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, and his record also includes roles in 3 absolute national premieres: the opera “I Puritani” at the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca (2016) where he performed the highest score written for a male voice, the opera “La Sonnambula” by Vincenzo Bellini (2018) and his presence on the stage of the Radio Hall in Bucharest in the absolute national premiere of the vocal-symphonic work “Messa di Gloria” by Rossini (2019).

*Adrian Mărcan (Baritone)*
Adrian Mărcan is a baritone of the National Opera of Bucharest with an extensive national and international activity. He has captivated audiences with interpretations full of sensitivity, depth, and vigor, and among his successful roles are Don Giovanni from “Don Giovanni,” Figaro from “The Barber of Seville,” Count Almaviva from “The Marriage of Figaro,” Marcello from “La Bohème,” Belcore from “The Elixir of Love,” Enrico from “Lucia di Lammermoor,” Germont from “La Traviata,” Rodrigo di Posa from “Don Carlo,” Count di Luna from “Il Trovatore” or Escamillo from “Carmen” etc.
Besides his artistic activity in the country, he has conducted numerous tours abroad with operas from Brașov, Cluj, Iași, Craiova in countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy, Norway, Spain, the Netherlands, Albania, the United Kingdom, but also in Japan.

*Alexandru Burcă (Pianist)*
Alexandru Burcă brings brilliance to the piano scores of numerous shows at the National Operetta and Musical Theater Ion Dacian in Bucharest, is the stage partner of actress Oana Pellea in the show "Callas," presented on the stage of the National Opera in Bucharest, has enchanted the audience with magical touches of the piano keys in the musical Mamma Mia, which enjoyed national success, and composed the music for the production “Ileana the Brave.”

He has given concerts and recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum, the George Enescu International Festival, Romanian Television, Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, Museum of the City of Bucharest – Suțu Palace, George Cavadia Philharmonic, Bacau Philharmonic, National Museum of Art, Kazakhstan, Russia, Moldova, France, Germany, Portugal, Norway, Italy, Canada.
