What if Caragiale's characters were to be depicted today? It has been 110 years since Uncle Iancu left us with an invaluable and unquestionable legacy. Sometimes it seems the years have passed in vain because we see everywhere the same “habits” specific to our people and nation. We are “incurable” when it comes to trying to change these customs.
Let's rediscover the “caragialism” that characterizes us in a new form of the “old” mahala. We propose an unprecedented show where the famous melodies of the past (I am the vagabond of my life, Parol I love you, Until I loved you, My years and youth, Șaraiman, All that is Romanian does not perish, I am a purveyor of pleasure) are reinterpreted LIVE and rearranged. Let's recreate the interwar atmosphere by imagining how Caragiale and his characters would look today, accompanied by violinist Răzvan Pisău, in a timeless setting, closer to what represents us.
