The situation in the play is as follows: a young theater student experiences a – how else? – beautiful love story with her professor, during which she discovers two lines on the pregnancy test. Meanwhile, the girl's parents are going through a marital crisis. The father is involved with a third party, who... well, it's complicated but amusing.
Actors: in the role of the young student, young Diana Roman delivered a mature performance. Without reproach.
In the role of the student's father, the ever-young Marius Manole, about whom what more can you say? Marius Manole is Marius Manole, and that's enough. He brings a good energy the moment he steps on stage. The audience receives it and gives it back even stronger. Marius Manole and the audience greet each other reciprocally with every line. In short, he does what any great actor does, even when the roles are not very challenging.
In the role of the student's mother, Medeea Marinescu. Elegant acting, as usual, even though she had to portray a shrew with very large emotional issues.
However, the most pleasant appearance was, in the humble opinion of this spectator who stubbornly remains, Mirela Oprișor, in the role of the student's father's mistress. A performance of great class. Impeccable.
And there is also Vlad Zamfirescu, the actor, cast by Vlad Zamfirescu, the director, in the role of the acting professor. It's hard, if not impossible, to argue that he wasn't the best choice. He was.
So, ladies and gentlemen, we find ourselves in the presence of a show that will not change the world, despite the rather moralizing, somewhat didactic tone at the end. A show that distracts from immediate reality and leaves us with a smile and, perhaps, a few questions.
In short, ultimately, a true comedy.
