Răzvan Vasilescu teaches us about truth in a show-confession that
narrates the drama of a literature teacher condemned to face
his fate, over and over again, in front of the audience.
In a small and violent world, Profu' dreams of restoring the lost spirit
of the school, but ultimately gets consumed by his own instincts. He is the modern hero
who, refusing to adapt to a dysfunctional system, ends up
committing an irreparable crime.
Jean-Pierre Dopagne's text explores societal issues,
lost values, and the conflict between generations. Weaving together
cruelty, humor, and candor, PROFU` remains a painfully relevant drama,
which will make you laugh heartily and from which you will leave with a lesson
learned.
