“A Stormy Night,” directed by Alexandru Nagy, brings a fresh perspective on the iconic play written by Ion Luca Caragiale, one of the cornerstones of Romanian theater.

With a stellar cast, Nagy masterfully combines Caragiale's sharp wit and biting satire with the harsh and stylized atmosphere of the famous series “Peaky Blinders.”

Although the dialogue remains faithful to Caragiale's original text, the action is transposed into a modern and fresh context, filled with tension and intrigue, reminiscent of 1920s Birmingham. The result is a production that not only honors the timeless brilliance of Caragiale's work but also underscores its universal relevance, demonstrating once again that the genius of this national playwright transcends the barriers of time and place.
