The repertoire celebrates her debut album, "Vento Leste" (translated as "eastern wind") — a wind that carried Mara on the air path 🛩️ from Romania, Eastern Europe, directly into the heart of Brazil. This work is deeply personal, with lyrics reflecting her life experiences, each song telling a story full of emotion and introspection, resonating deeply with listeners.
We invite you on a journey that began with samba from São Paulo, Cauê's hometown, passing through bossa nova, in a continuous search and expansion. Mara, a sensitive storyteller in Portuguese, has shared her life over the past 11 years between Bucharest and São Paulo, which has become her second home, the place where she began to sing and where she discovered the "pandeiro," a specific percussion instrument that she often uses in concerts.
In addition to her original compositions, Mara pays tribute to other important figures in Brazilian and Romanian music, creating a unique musical journey that connects these two cultures.
The album "Vento Leste" was recorded in March 2024, at Cachuera and Parede Meia studios in São Paulo, produced by Bruno Dos Reis, and launched in Brazil in collaboration with Umbilical Jazz.
