WonderTheatre announces a new premiere for the whole family, the comedy “A Farce of Two Lei” with Dragoș Huluba, Cătălina Grama Jojo, Andrei Mateiu, Paula Chirilă, Paul Ipate, and Maria Obretin.
The show is directed by Răzvan Oprea who also signs the translation and adaptation of Marc Fayet's text, one of the most awarded French authors of comedy.
Three couples, a rented vacation house, and the tradition of spending vacations together—cool, bourgeois, and full of charming stories—means a recipe for a beautiful friendship. When 2.20 euros are left on a table in the vacation house as a test, their miraculous disappearance generates a wave of confessions that jeopardizes their vacation.
To the surprise and amusement of the spectators, this infinitesimal sum makes it possible to destroy friendships, create alliances, and activate atrocious forms of greed and selfishness.
What happens will surprise even the author of the farce because “the disaster in the couple,” always swept under the rug, somehow manages to explode exactly when you don’t want the “dirty laundry to be washed” alongside friends.
The audience laughs and learns their lesson in a comedy written by Marc Fayet that has been playing in France for many years with great success.
