AUGUST 2, 2025 8:00 PM

HERASTRAU SUMMER GARDEN

In the middle of summer, tenor Ştefan von Korch launches a romantic invitation to "The Tenors' Duel," a concert that will enliven the evening of August 2nd with canzonets and famous arias. The event will be hosted at the Herăstrău Summer Garden of the "Constantin Tănase" Revue Theatre, and alongside tenor Ştefan von Korch – the host soloist, there will be two other exceptional lyrical male voices: tenor Alin Stoica and tenor Mihai Urzicana.

The soloist Ştefan von Korch elaborates: “The concert is inspired by the tradition of the world's great male vocal trio formulas, but will also explore beyond them and will include a sparkling repertoire of famous arias and canzonets, a veritable “best of", from which landmarks such as “Nessun dorma,"  “La Donna e mobile," or “O Sole Mio,"  but also lyrical rarities, designed to delight and move the audience cannot be missing."

The concert will be a special musical experience that will delight music lovers with the most well-known pieces suitable for the star voice of the lyrical register – that of the tenor.

Tickets can be found on Tickestore.ro, Biletlateatru.ro, at the Dalles hall and at the box office of the Constantin Tănase Theatre.

About the season Musical Extravaganza

The Musical Extravaganza season. The concerts aim to offer the public the joy of meeting representative names of the lyrical scene, in a more intimate setting, which offers a different perspective on the artistic act compared to that of the imposing opera stage, but also to bring the classical genre closer to audiences of all ages.  Spectators are invited to admire their favorite soloists in a select atmosphere, complemented by a chamber accompaniment, which highlights the performers in a warm and personal light.

The events are hosted at Sala Dalles, a choice that is no coincidence. The protagonists of Musical Extravaganza invite the public to a space with tradition and history in the cultural landscape and take the stage on which, over time, great musicians such as George Enescu (26 concerts), Dinu Lipatti, Mihai Jora, Ionel Perlea, Ion Voicu or Virginia Zeani have performed.
