Acid, ironic, stinging, the social and political satire written by one of the most well-known Romanian authors from the interwar period proves to be surprisingly relevant today, more than 100 years after its first staging – THE ENVELOPE by Liviu Rebreanu builds a universe in which amorous intrigues, political squabbles, the struggle for power, people with lights and shadows who give life to a community from the province meet. In this small town with a large train station, where rivalries are the order of the day and plots at every turn, Mayor Arzăreanu knows the principles of the game best, so he resorts to any trick to win a new mandate, even if this sometimes means taking advantage of loved ones to achieve his goals.

In the stage version of a successful director – Dan Tudor, with an artistic team loved by the public, the Romanian Dramatists' Theater proposes that you see a perfect comedy, which passes the test of time with flying colors.
