A MEMORABLE NIGHT

The Bucharest National Theater hosts, on February 16, 2026, a special performance of the comedy "A Memorable Night", a classic British farce of great success, signed by Derek Benfield, presented for the first time nationally in a production full of rhythm, energy and fine humor.

"A Memorable Night" is a comedy of appearances, of small human weaknesses and of social games taken to the extreme. Under the roars of laughter and exaggerated situations, the show talks about human weaknesses in a world that is constantly getting out of control.

The action takes place in an apparently quiet country hotel, which quickly becomes the scene of impossible situations and delicious entanglements. Ferris, the improvised receptionist of the guesthouse, agrees to take his sister's place during her vacation, without suspecting that he will be caught in the middle of a real carousel of lies, false identities and hidden relationships. With an almost unbelievable sense of timing, he tries to avoid meeting four guests whose secrets threaten to come to light.

A farce in which nothing is what it seems, and the comic situations follow one another at a fast pace, supported by an extremely dynamic dialogue and a highly precise acting performance.

The direction and scenography are signed by Daniel Bucur, who manages to build an atmosphere of classic farce, elegant and extremely efficient from a comedic point of view.

A show with a sustained rhythm, sharp lines and an energy that does not decrease until the curtain falls, guaranteeing the audience a theater evening full of good cheer and hearty laughter.
