From 5:00 PM, the Roman Arenas will transform into a large tavern, open under the city sky.
Souvlaki and gyros on the grill. Tables with tzatziki, saganaki, feta, and kalamata olives. Baklava or portokalopita for dessert. Carafes of Greek wine, glasses of ouzo, cold Mythos beer. Smells of oregano, lemon, and the sea. Bouzouki in the background. Six hours of uninterrupted party!
The dancers of the Hellenic Union from Romania will take the stage, with authentic sirtaki and kalamatianos — and they'll pull you in. Yamas! will fly from all directions.
It's a real Greek party, not a themed one.
And because we wanted it authentic to the end, we brought everything that Greece represents to the stage: Elli Kokkinou.

When she takes the stage at the Roman Arenas, Bucharest becomes, for a few hours, the small square of an Aegean village at midnight. With a career that began in 1998 and a constant presence on the Greek music scene, Elli Kokkinou has established herself as one of the popular names in contemporary Greek music. The artist is recognized for her style that combines pop and modern laika, for her strong stage presence, and for her repertoire that has consolidated her relationship with the audience in Greece and the diaspora.
September 5th is the Saturday when summer refuses to surrender. It's the evening when Bucharest smells of oregano and the sea. It's the last stop of the summer — and it's at our home.
