An "Old Love" takes place in contemporary times, connecting the minor clerk Bud Mitchell and his boss's wife, Molly Graham, for almost three decades, with sporadic meetings and humor-filled conversations, quickly forgotten by her, but forming the foundation of a solid emotional structure for him.
