The Musical Theatre Ambassadors, through the show "White Moor Play", promotes Romanian culture and stories among the young audience. "White Moor Play" is a show that brings Creangă's characters to the stage in a modern vision, through the eyes of today's teenager. Using music, dance, and humor as the main instruments, we aim to familiarize the new generation of children with Creangă's universe, using references that are familiar to them.

The show begins with Horia, a teenager who, like any teenager, has disputes with his father about taking on responsibilities, and argues with his best friend, Maria, who reproaches him for his selfishness and the fact that he always relies on her for schoolwork - this time even involving the Romanian fairy tale, a key topic in Romanian Language and Literature.

But who needs such stories today? Do we still have something to learn from them? With such questions, Horia finds himself playing "White Moor" and, through the protagonist's role, he enters a story at the boundary between dream and reality. He embarks on an initiatory journey at the end of which he will acquire values such as taking responsibility, patience, generosity, courage, and forgiveness. The show proposes a new formula of rekindling friendships with local heroes who have intersected generations over time, yet this new adaptation aims to reframe the poetry, humor, and essence of Creangă's story, in the metric of today's adolescence, effervescent, impatient, curious, and always in search of novelty.

Although the essence of Creangă's story remains intact, the approach of a current language is the key through which exactly those values are extracted that young people today can access as personal development resources.

This show is a production of the Musical Theatre Ambassadors, the only theatre for children and youth under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, celebrating its 5th anniversary this year.
