"Biloxi Blues", originally written by Neil Simon, is a theatrical performance designed to highlight the hardships of American soldiers, but also the ridiculousness of certain situations, through a satire based on situational and character comedy. The protagonist, of Jewish descent, has three main goals: to survive the army, to become a writer, and to start his sexual life. In fulfilling these goals, other soldiers also become notable. Among them are a muscular soldier, another who is a womanizer, a soldier with feminine traits, a failed singer, and a well-read... VERY well-read man.
