In the heart of the thicket, a realm steeped in mystery and magic, an
ancient story unfolds since time immemorial. Here, mythical places and characters
from old legends descend from the pages of forgotten history, intertwining the past
and the present in a fascinating musical.
In this dual universe, good and evil clash in an eternal battle
for supremacy, while heroes and mythical creatures alike step
beyond known boundaries to forge their own destinies.

“I have always been fascinated by the forest, both in stories and in reality.
And I love dragons.
So I was excited by the suggestion to write a text for a
musical performance based on Romanian fairy tales.
I reread some of them and realized that the secondary characters,
about whom we learn very little, interested me more than
Făt Frumos, Greuceanu, or Harap Alb. Who, by the way, seemed
quite boring and predictable to me.
We always only know one part of the story: the one where a prince fights
with dragons and wins.
But a story always has more versions. And I chose to tell the
one of the secondary characters." Elise Wilk
