On May 11, starting at 20:00, we invite you to step into a special sonic world, on the elegant stage of Godot Theater at Bragadiru Palace, alongside Jezebel & Taraful Turcitu.
Jezebel is one of the most remarkable voices in Romania, with an absolutely unmistakable timbre.
It is hard to describe the reaction of those who hear her for the first time: surprise, fascination, joy!
Jezebel presents to the audience of Godot Theater a vibrant project of old lăutărească music and folklore, occasionally enriched with surprising arrangements.
“We have reinterpreted some of the most beautiful lăutărească songs, adding classical or jazz elements that give them depth and a special charm. This fusion between tradition and elitism offers a new perspective on lăutărie, creating a unique musical experience for the audience. We also included a darbuka to bring an authentic Eastern breeze and specific rhythms from those pieces whose inspiration was the music of the Levant.”
Created together with Taraful Turcitu – cymbalum, violin, accordion, double bass, clarinet – which brings to the stage the energy and authenticity of lăutărească music.
