"Curse of Happiness" is a Romanian show in its essence - from sound, from roots, from tears. It's a return home, where love was once elevated to the rank of art, and the artist sang not only with their voice, but with all the pain, beauty, and dignity of the soul.
This musical confession is a bond with the past and an offering to a love that burned, but did not fade. It is the story of a woman who was not afraid to love to the end - and, in that end, found the song.
The repertoire is a journey through doinas, romances, folk songs and original creations, all woven around a cursed and holy love. "Until I loved you", "Lie Ciocârlie", "Do you remember, dear Mărie", "Oh, little heart", "May the devil take you, love", "Poor lăutar", "Dream of love", "Heart" or "Curse of Happiness" - are songs that are not sung, but lived.
Alongside Stephanie Radu, artists who complete this picture of Romanian feeling come on stage: tenor Alin Stoica, with the nobility of classical interpretation, the force of sensitivity and a surprise guest - a balm voice, an artist with the roots of the nation in their voice. The exceptional accompaniment - Cătălin Ene on piano, Elvis Buruiană on accordion and Elena Albu on violin - gives life to a world that still pulses in our hearts.
"Curse of Happiness" is the love that could no longer fit in the body and overflowed into song. It is that Romanian that hurts and heals. Hearts that beat in unison with love on stage, like in a story, like a prayer.
