My Beloved Eminescu Multimedia Show
Absolute Premiere
Dalles Hall Bucharest
Monday, June 23, 2025, 7:00 PM
On Monday, June 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Dalles Hall (Bdul Nicolae Bălcescu, no. 18) the multimedia event-spectacle will take place, in absolute premiere, My Beloved Emin, with actress Claudia Motea. For the first time in Romania, this eternal and impossible love is brought on stage, from the perspective of Veronica Micle, the poet and inspirer of our national genius Mihai Eminescu.
Their love story, which happened 200 years ago, comes to prove to us, once again, that Eminescu, although he seems otherworldly through his work, was a living man, capable of stirring passions, from which his poetry was nourished, which warms our soul and elevates our spirit even today.
This year marks 175 years since the birth of the two lovers, and their love has entered legend, a legend that we want to make known to everyone, through this show.
The action takes place in Văratec, 50 days after the death of the beloved Emin, before Veronica offers him her life as a gift, as she had promised:
The high peak of the pyramid my eye barely touches…
Next to this stone colossus, see how small I am,
Thus you, - in whose mind the universe is reflected,
Your genius will remain on earth for ages.
And you desire my love… Through love, until you
To reach and my fate today to tie to your fate,
How to do it! When I know my smallness so well,
When your great being may not even understand it. (Veronica Micle, To Eminescu)
