LIE CIOCÂRLIE – live concert | Soprano Ana Cebotari
Romanian Folklore Reinterpreted
📅 February 20, 2026 | ⏰ 19:00
📍 Dalles Hall
Ana Cebotari will perform on the stage of Dalles Hall a unique artistic concept entitled “Lie Ciocârlie”, which will bring Romanian folklore into a contemporary, deeply emotional sound.
The concert proposes a modern reinterpretation of traditional Romanian music, through a fusion inspired by world music, rock and pop, while preserving the authenticity and expressive force of the folklore source. “Lie Ciocârlie” is not just a classic folklore concert, but a live experience in which tradition dialogues naturally with the present.
Initiated in 2013 and developed until 2017, the “Lie Ciocârlie” project returns today in a reconfigured sound formula, with arrangements created especially for this concert. The voice remains the expressive nucleus, and the music becomes the space in which the traditional root takes on a new breath.
The sound universe of the project is built alongside an exceptional instrumental formula, made up of musicians with a rich experience, each having an essential role in the sound architecture of the concert.
Călin Grigoriu – guitar
Radu Sinaci – cello
Cezar Knihinschi – bass guitar
Bogdan Pop – percussion
Together with the solo voice, they create a lively, intense and current sound, in which acoustic elements combine with modern influences, giving each piece a new expression.
The repertoire of the evening will include songs such as “Lie Ciocârlie”, “Adu-i Doina”, “Doda”, “Mi-am făcut bundiță nouă”, “Uhai bade”, but also other reinterpreted traditional Romanian songs.
