BRÂNCUȘI, MY LOVE!
Multimedia show by/with Romanian-Canadian actress Claudia Motea
Dalles Hall, March 5, 2026, 7:00 PM
"Brâncuși, my love!" is a highly successful multimedia show, inspired by the eponymous volume signed by the actress and writer Romanian-Canadian Claudia Motea, translated and published in ten languages (Creator Publishing House / Libris). The show brings to the forefront the great loves of Constantin Brâncuși, through an artistic incursion into his intimate and creative universe.
Nine famous women who were his muses – Margit Pogany, Maria Tănase, Eileen Lane, Peggy Guggenheim, Madame Léonie Ricou, Maria Bonaparte, Cella Delavrancea, Baroness Renée Irana Frachon and Milița Petrașcu – are interpreted with remarkable versatility by Claudia Motea, in an exceptional acting performance. With a magical dose of talent and dedication, the artist manages to outline complex personalities, full of emotion and strength.
The Parisian Belle Époque atmosphere is magically rendered by pianist Timeea Crăiță, and the profound and expressive voice of actor Marius Bodochi gives voice to Brâncuși's thoughts and aphorisms, adding a poetic and philosophical dimension to the show.
The show was awarded with important prizes and was an Honorary Guest within the program Timișoara – European Capital of Culture 2023, on the occasion of the major international exhibition “Brâncuși: Romanian Sources and Universal Perspectives”, organized at the National Art Museum of Timișoara. On this occasion, the official launch of the book also took place in the Baroque Hall, in the presence of the Master's works.
From the chronicles:
“Claudia Motea puts her thoughts on paper with the same love with which Master Brâncuși sculpted the stone.”
— Ileana Vlăduț, the sculptor's great-granddaughter
“Nine human icons in whose wrinkles rests the iris of the Spirit of the Flying Man. A book, like a game from the Great Game of Stone!”
— Father Constantin Necula, Tribuna Magazine
