The situation in the play is as follows: a young drama student experiences a – how else? – beautiful love story with her professor, during which she discovers two lines on the pregnancy test. Meanwhile, the girl's parents are facing a marital crisis. The father is involved with a third party, who… well, it’s complicated but amusing.
Actors: in the role of the young student, the young Diana Roman had a mature performance. Flawless.
In the role of the student's father, the ever-young Marius Manole, what more can be said? Marius Manole is Marius Manole, and that is enough. He exudes great energy as soon as he steps on stage. The audience receives it and returns it amplified. Marius Manole and the audience greet each other with every line. In short, he does what every great actor does, even when the roles are not very demanding.
In the role of the student's mother, Medeea Marinescu. Elegant acting, as usual, even though she played a shrew with significant emotional problems.
However, the most pleasant appearance, in the humble opinion of this stubborn spectator, was Mirela Oprișor in the role of the student's father's lover. A performance of great class. Impeccable.
And there is also Vlad Zamfirescu, the actor, cast by Vlad Zamfirescu, the director, in the role of the acting professor. It is hard, if not impossible, to argue that he was not the best choice. He was.
So, ladies and gentlemen, we are in the presence of a show that will not change the world, despite the somewhat moralizing, didactic tone at the end. A show that distracts from immediate reality and leaves us with a smile and perhaps a few questions.
In short, ultimately, a true comedy.
