When you say Iris Cristi Minculescu, Valter Popa & Boro, you face the entire history of Romanian rock, you have in front of you three of the most beloved Romanian artists who need no further introduction. In 2017, providentially, Mihai Dumitrescu joined them on drums. It’s enough to hear Floare de Iris, Strada ta, Baby, Somn bizar, and you start humming these songs that have been anthems for all of us and will continue to be heard only from the voices, strings, and emotions of those who composed them. Cristi Minculescu, Valter, and Boro are the ones who have kept the spirit of “Iris” alive for over 40 years, and when they take the stage, thousands of voices in the audience join in unison, because their repertoire is a national heritage of Romanian rock, the soundtrack of memories for three generations of fans.
