Between February 2 - March 8, 2025, ANALIA SELIS presents to the Romanian audience the national tour "ARGENTINISSIMO, ROOTS", an event conceived around tango and Latin American folklore. The tour program includes trio recitals and symphonic concerts, held in over 15 cities in Romania: Bucharest, Oradea, Bistrița, Sfântu Gheorghe, Craiova, Târgoviște, Brăila, Buzău, Slobozia, Pitești, Ploiești, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Bacău, Suceava, Iași, Târgu Mureș, Brașov. In Bucharest, Analia will present two recitals at the "Godot" Theatre, on February 2 and March 8, 2025.
With a repertoire entirely dedicated to her country of origin (Argentina), Analia Selis brings to the stage two special guests born in the same South American country: guitarist JULIO SANTILLÁN and pianist MARIANO CASTRO – twice nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards. The two artists also sign the musical arrangements for the pieces you will listen to, their themes being related to the holidays celebrated in the first months of the year: Valentine's Day and Dragobete, Mărțișor and International Women's Day.
Through the tour "ARGENTINISSIMO, ROOTS", Analia aims for a return to her origins, to the places we come from, which are a continuous source of inspiration. The artist brings to the forefront the love for the space we were born in, the connections with family, with the cultural values of one's community, advocating for their preservation and transmission as defining elements.
"I have long wanted to present this tour to my audience. My dream was inspired by the love for tango and the appreciation I have for the two extraordinary Argentine musicians with whom I will perform. Julio Santillán (guitar) came to Romania for the first time 10 years ago, when I took an essential step in my career: my first tango tour, presented alongside Julio and Răzvan Suma. Another blessing on my journey was the appearance of Mariano Castro (piano), who chose to settle in Romania. Julio is a musician of Latin American folklore and Mariano is a tango musician. In this trio format, my strongest cultural roots – tango and Argentine folklore – will express themselves on stage through the music we will share with the Romanian audience."
– declares ANALIA SELIS about her project
In 2024, Analia Selis celebrated 20 years of artistic career in Romania and 10 years since she dedicated her entire activity to tango, a moment marked by the anniversary national tour "TANGO AUTÉNTICO". In 2022, the Argentinian Interministerial Committee awarded her the distinction of "Country Brand Ambassador", as a result of her contribution to building the Argentine national identity abroad. The national tours "Do you like tango?", "Symphonic Tango", "ArgEnTango", "Symphonic Piazzolla", "Interbelic Symphonic" – are all a testament to Analia Selis's passion and dedication to tango music. The success of her projects has also translated into numerous invitations – received from within the country or abroad – to perform alongside important ensembles or participate in international festivals.

Settled in Romania since 2003, after musical studies in her native country (Argentina) and at Longy School of Music – Boston (USA), ANALIA SELIS was initially appreciated as a performer of Latin American pop and became known to the Romanian public after obtaining the third prize at the International Festival "Cerbul de Aur" (2004). Since 2014, Analia has chosen a new path of artistic expression: tango, the fascinating and passionate musical genre born in Argentina.
In a beautiful artistic journey thus constructed between the country where she was born and her adopted country, Analia Selis has gifted the Romanian audience with quality projects, in which the most famous tangos signed by great composers like Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel or Sebastian Piana were interpreted traditionally, as they were once sung in Argentina, the country where, at the border with Uruguay, this type of music and dance was born somewhere at the end of the 19th century.
National tours "Do you like tango?" (two editions), "Symphonic Tango" (first edition), "Symphonic Tango – Milonga de mis amores" (second edition), "ArgEnTango", "Symphonic Piazzolla" or "Interbellum Symphonic" are all a testament to Analia Selis's passion and dedication to tango music.
As a result of her successes, Analia has been invited to perform with major orchestras from Switzerland (Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra), Czech Republic (Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra), Lithuania (Klaipėda Symphony Orchestra), Argentina (National University of Tucumán Symphony Orchestra) or alongside ensembles like Gaudeamus Quartet, Contempo Quartet, etc. She also took the stage at important musical festivals: George Enescu International Festival (Romania), Radio Song Festival (Beijing, China), Kammermusiktage Barth Festival (Germany), Das Einzigartige Crossover Festival (Switzerland), Klaipėda International Cello Festival and Competition (Lithuania), Concentus Moraviae Festival (Czech Republic), etc.
In 2022, the Argentinian Interministerial Committee awarded her the distinction of "Country Brand Ambassador", as a result of her contribution to building the Argentine national identity abroad.
